US Expected to Purchase Between 300k-400k Bitcoin by 2025, Predicts deVere Group CEO

Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Proposal: Cementing BTC as Cornerstone of U.S. Monetary Policy, Predicts Nigel Green, deVere Group CEO

Key Points

  • The US could potentially purchase around 400,000 Bitcoins by 2025, as per deVere Group CEO, Nigel Green.
  • Green believes that a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve could establish Bitcoin as a key component of US financial policy.

Nigel Green, CEO of deVere Group, has predicted that the United States might amass up to 400,000 Bitcoins by the year 2025.

Green, a known cryptocurrency optimist, is of the opinion that this Strategic Bitcoin Reserve would solidify Bitcoin’s position in the U.S. financial policy.

Bitcoin Act of 2024

Green’s prediction comes in the wake of Senator Cynthia Lummis’ Bitcoin Act of 2024. The act proposes the acquisition of one million Bitcoins over a five-year period.

While political negotiations might reduce the initial goal, Green believes it is probable that the government will acquire between 300,000 and 400,000 Bitcoins.

According to Green, this is more than just an economic initiative; it’s a masterstroke in geopolitics. He stressed that a U.S. Bitcoin reserve could strengthen the dollar’s position in a progressively digital global economy.

Possible 2025 Bitcoin Bull Run

Despite potential obstacles, including legislative hurdles, Green remains positive about the potential market impact.

He stated that the establishment of a reserve of 300,000 to 400,000 Bitcoins could likely trigger a Bitcoin bull run of epic proportions. This could drive exponential value creation and reshape financial markets.

In late 2024, Green lauded Donald Trump for announcing plans for crypto-friendly regulations and a $14 billion national Bitcoin reserve. This move was intended to bolster the U.S. economy and its leadership in digital finance.
