Neptune Digital Assets Corp., a prominent blockchain company in Canada, has recently expanded its cryptocurrency assets with the purchase of 20 additional Bitcoin and 1 million Dogecoin.

Bitcoin and Dogecoin Acquisition

The acquisition of Bitcoin was executed at an average cost of $99,833 per Bitcoin, amounting to roughly $2 million USD. This purchase, carried out between January 26 and February 3, 2025, has boosted Neptune’s overall Bitcoin holdings to 376 Bitcoin.

Furthermore, Neptune has diversified its cryptocurrency assets by procuring 1,000,000 Dogecoin tokens through a strategic derivative purchase on December 27, 2024, at an average price of $0.37 USD per Dogecoin.

Neptune’s Strategy

Cale Moodie, Neptune’s CEO, highlighted the company’s long-term strategy, stating that the initial acquisitions demonstrate Neptune’s dedication to its growth plan while carefully managing leverage risk and debt levels.

Neptune’s recent acquisitions align with the company’s ongoing efforts to boost its Bitcoin holdings through direct acquisition, derivative trading, converting staking rewards into Bitcoin, and Bitcoin mining.

In addition to accumulating digital assets, Neptune invests in and collaborates with innovative technology projects across various fields such as digital assets, fintech, and space exploration.
