  • Exchanges like Binance, OKX, and KuCoin are adopting Ethereum’s Layer 2 solutions to mitigate congestion and high fees.
  • HashKey Global Adopts Ethereum Support

HashKey Global, a leading digital asset exchange, has successfully incorporated Ethereum (ETH) on the Base network.
Deposit and withdrawal services are now available.
The platform now facilitates ETH transactions across three networks: ERC-20, Base, and Arbitrum.
The integration of ETH support on Base by HashKey Global simplifies and makes it more cost-effective to transfer funds to and from the exchange.
Simultaneously, it allows interaction with the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem.

This integration is a part of the increasing acceptance of Ethereum’s Layer 2 solutions by exchanges.
The objective is to alleviate the congestion and high fees that are typical of Ethereum’s mainnet.
Exchanges such as Binance, OKX, and KuCoin have swiftly integrated Layer 2 networks for Ethereum transactions.

In 2021, Binance began supporting Arbitrum and Optimism to lessen the impact of high gas fees.
Since then, the exchange has broadened its support to other Layer 2 solutions.
OKX followed Binance’s lead in 2021 by integrating Arbitrum.
KuCoin also added Arbitrum support in 2021 and later extended its offerings to other Layer 2 networks.

In recent news, HashKey Group received In-Principle Approval from Dubai VARA for a Virtual Asset Service Provider license.
This expands its regulated services in the Middle East region.
Earlier, HashKey Europe Limited, a subsidiary of the HashKey Group, received VASP registration approval from the Central Bank of Ireland.
Moreover, the platform recently launched its own token, HashKey Platform Token, which reached an all-time high of $2.59 on Dec. 20, 2024.
