Summary

  • Organizers reportedly confirmed that Trump will be one of the speakers at the Bitcoin 2024 conference.
  • The former US President showed strong support for the crypto industry in 2024.

According to the latest reports from Bloomberg, Donald Trump will speak at a Bitcoin conference later this month.

The publication cited the event organizers, saying that Trump would highlight his massive support for the crypto industry.

According to the same reports, he is due to deliver his speech on July 27, on the main stage of the Bitcoin 2024 event in Nashville, Tennessee.

Trump Shows Support for the Crypto Industry

Over the past few months, the Republican Party presidential nominee has been expressing strong support for the crypto and blockchain industry.

In June, Trump said during an event at Mar-a-Lago that he would advocate for Bitcoin mining if he is elected as the US President.

Back in May, he started accepting political donations in crypto, and his advocacy for the industry has earned him backing from important figures in the crypto industry, such as Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.

Also, Ark Invest’s CEO Cathie Wood showed support for Trump.

Other US Politicians to Speak at Bitcoin 2024 Conference

According to the latest reports, other US politicians are also set to speak at Bitcoin 2024.

These reportedly include presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former presidential candidate Vives Ramaswamy, and Republican Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn.

It’s also worth noting that Kennedy Jr. has given a keynote speech at Bitcoin 2023 in support of crypto. He said that he would ensure people’s right to hold and use Bitcoin because it’s an inviolable right.

Also, back in April, he said that he wants to put the “US budget on blockchain”. He explained that he wants to make this move so that every American could look at every budget item in the entire budget anytime 24 hours a day.

Such a public accounting of spending would allow more transparency and accountability into how the US government spends taxpayer money.
