Bitcoin.com Launches Fundraiser to Support Charlie Kirk’s Family With Bitcoin and Crypto Donations

Bitcoin.com today announced the launch of a dedicated fundraiser to support the family of Charlie Kirk, following his tragic passing. The initiative invites the global crypto community to contribute using Bitcoin and leading digital assets, ensuring 100% of proceeds are delivered directly to Kirk’s family.

Charlie Kirk was not only a passionate advocate for freedom and responsibility but also a friend of the Bitcoin community. In 2022, on The Charlie Kirk Show, he declared: “ Bitcoin, in some ways, has more integrity than the U.S. dollar.” His recognition of Bitcoin as a tool for individual empowerment reflected the same values that drive the mission of Bitcoin.com.

Kirk’s commitment to liberty also translated into action. Behind the scenes, he played a pivotal role in securing a presidential pardon for Ross Ulbricht, creator of Silk Road, who had been sentenced to two life terms plus forty years for nonviolent offences. When asked by President Trump what mattered most, Kirk simply replied: “Free Ross.” His quiet advocacy helped Ulbricht regain his freedom earlier this year — a gesture Ulbricht has described with enduring gratitude.

In recognition of this shared vision, Bitcoin.com is accepting donations in BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BCH, ZANO, and fUSD. Transparent donation addresses and QR codes are publicly available, with Bitcoin.com covering transaction and administrative costs so that the full amount of every contribution reaches Kirk’s family.

“Charlie Kirk’s passion for liberty and self-sovereignty resonated deeply with us at Bitcoin.com. He was a friend of the Bitcoin community, unafraid to use his influence to stand up for freedom and justice,” said Corbin Fraser, Bitcoin.com’s CEO. “This fundraiser is a way for us, as a community, to honor his legacy and provide meaningful support to his loved ones during this difficult time.”

Those wishing to contribute can visit this donation page for details. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help Charlie Kirk’s family navigate this profound loss.
