BTC News proudly endorsed Tom Tancredo for President back in July of 2005 on the strength of his foreign policy chops — it was then that he first proposed making the possible destruction of Muslim holy cities an official plank of U.S. foreign policy. We’re pleased to see that he has not only refused to renounce his position but has expanded upon it to the point where one can safely call it the Tancredo Doctrine, thus becoming the only Republican presidential candidate to have his own doctrine rather than simply borrowing one from the Bush administration and dressing it up in medieval combat gear and chastity belts, as Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani have done with the Bush Doctrine.
We remain, however, disappointed that Tancredo still refuses to add Jerusalem to Mecca and Medina on his holy cities hit list. Anyone can threaten purely Muslim sites, but the only way to let these people know we’re truly serious is to show that we’re willing to blow up any city of importance to their religion even if it holds some value to other humans as well.
Despite Tancredo’s fearless consistency, we’re considering a transfer of our affections to GOP congressman Duncan Hunter, whose principled stand on abandoning the Constitution rivals Tancredo for iconoclasm, but only if he selects amiable hack Fred Thompson as his running mate. A Hunter Thompson ticket would be all but irresistible.

As a Hunter And Tancredo supporter, I have to say that this is good news for Hunter. As much as I love the Tanc, I think Hunter is the better candidate.
Hopefully Tom won’t try to stick it out for too long and will encourage his voters to throw their support behind Hunter
Voting for Ron Paul!
