In fact, didn't I hear about him interviewing the Golem and asking just such a question? How the hell does someone so dumb keep his job? Wait. I don't want to know. It's too portentous, way too revealing of his employers. I wonder if his colleagues are at least hiding their eyes in shame and embarrassment.
