Likewise, the fact he is firmly socially conservative is enough for me. I don't think that's a good policy choice, publicly at least. The "it's how it was done, that's all" flavor overall has almost a centrist Democrat feel to it. That too is crap imho, but it seems to be a popular technique, and seems workable for the R. frontrunner. ANd I have to admit, I wouldn't vote for the top three under any circumstances (for various reasons), but I'd take half an hour to research "moderate Republican" Chuck Hagel's credentials before I hardened up an opinion. Curious to see if the Rs go with romance (i.e., authoritay) or moderation in their primary. ANd if the latter, it'll be curious to see how the press treats him.
