Questions about Iraq? The imperiled Constitution? Health care? The economy? Those cute dogs? The upcoming elections? Whatever it is, let us know: we’ll be picking a half dozen or so questions and sending them to a White House spokesman — no, not Tony Snow; that’s Eric Brewer’s domain, although Eric will be looking for good questions as well — who has agreed to respond on the record as best he can.
Leave your questions by adding a comment to this post. We’ll go through them and pick the ones we think are best crafted, pertinent (or impertinent) and likely to receive substantive answers. You’re of course welcome to ask whatever you like, but be aware that we won’t be submitting any profane or purely polemical questions because they won’t get answered. Whatever we send might not get substantively answered regardless, but we’d like to at least have a shot at it. We also don’t know how quickly we’ll get responses, so time-sensitive questions will rank down the list as well.
We’ll be announcing the questions we select before we send them off. You needn’t identify yourself, but we’d appreciate at least a first name and a hometown. If you want to submit a question with your full name attached but would prefer not to plaster the information across the internets, send the question to “bushquest@btcnews.com” (without the quote marks).
Thanks for participating, and have at it.
Note to readers: this article is a duplicate of the preceding one in this category. We’ve republished it because Google News didn’t pick up the headline in the original. Feel free to leave your question in response to either story, and thanks again for participating.

I would ask the Pres…is anyone paying attention to the fact that a few countries are talking about dumping the dollar and moving to Euros. China and Iran are two of them. If that happens..people will be using wheelbarrows to carry the necessary cash for a loaf of bread.
I would like to ask the White House the following:
We have always proclaimed our justice system to be the envy of the world. Why are you afriad to grant public trials with complete Constitutional protections to accused terrorists if your believe you have the evidence with which to convict them? Would that not make a statement of our committment to justice and democracy?
1. How will we know when we’ve won the War on Terror? What conditions will have to be met so that we can celebrate VT day?
2. Would you characterize this administration’s cut and run strategy in Afghanistan a success or failure? If it’s a failure why should you be trusted to succeed in Iraq? If it’s a success why not cut and run in Iraq?
“Is President Bush afraid of the terrorists?” If no, follow-up with “Then why is he asking the American people to be terrified of them with talk of killing our families and images of bin Laden in Republican campaign commercials?” If yes, follow-up with “Then wouldn’t it be prudent for the President to choose an anti-terrorism strategy that is not based on fear?”
Mr. Bush, given that you illegally and brutally invaded two countries, have authorized the use of torture, have stolen two elections, have jailed people without charge and without trial, have illegally spied on American citizens, have in essence through an unprecedented number of signing statements declared yourself above the law, and failed to respond anywhere near adequately to the national disaster that was Katrina, resulting in the unneccesary deaths of hundreds of American citizens, why should you not be impeached and put on trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity?
Dear White House,
Recently we have been told that changes are being made in Iraq as far as tactics but not policy. Yet we are also told that our soldiers have not lost any engagements on the ground. This is confusing me, if our tactics are working (evidenced by no battles lost) and the strategy is not going to change; what exactly is changing? Also, if the strategy and tactics are working so well, why is the situation not what we would like it to be, that is, what is the problem?
Mr. Bush said that he respected the jury’s verdict with respect to Scooter Libby, which must mean that he agrees that Mr. Libby committed perjury and obstruction of justice.
Given Mr. Bush’s prior statement of being very concerned about the leaking of Valerie Plame’s name, what is he doing to encourage Mr. Libby to tell the truth about his role and the role of others in this incident?
