No, I&#039;m kidding.  What this is really about is a bunch of politicians that have decided pork trumps national defense.  That&#039;s really what this is about.  They KNOW deep down it&#039;s the subways and museums and landmarks in DC, NYC, Boston, SF, LA and other urban areas that make attractive targets precisely because of their potential for more impactful results.  But the politicians see it as an opportunity to both bring home the bacon (and what has more pork fat than bacon?) while making folks--even those nto really at risk--feel better about what they are doing to protect them, even on their home turf of Duluth.  

And that&#039;s ultimately a pretty dangerous and short sighted strategy.
